 lfare of the 53 asylum seekers who are held incommunicado in the high secu
 rity Bomana detention centre. They had been held on Manus for 6 years\, an
 d were moved moved to Bomana prison in Port Moresby in August. They are in
  the immigration wing of the prison\, which was funded by Australia to the
  tune of $20 million.\n\nThere has been no contact with the asylum seekers
  since they were detained. UNHCR and Red Cross have been denied access to 
 the centre. There is no phone access\, and no visits have been approved. A
 t least two of the asylum seekers from Bomana detention have been hospital
 ised.\n\nThe denial of constitutional rights to a lawyer was one of the re
 asons the PNG Supreme Court found detention on Manus was unlawful. PNG is 
 repeating the same mistakes it made agreeing to Australia's bullying reque
